THE LONDON EDIT: STYLING DRESSES FOR EVERY OCCASION

The Power Dresser (Work): A tailored midaxi shirt dress in navy worn with a tan leather belt to define the waist. Add block-heel pumps and a structured tote. Polished, professional, and comfortable for long days.

Weekend Effortless: A linen shirt dress worn loose with flat leather sandals and a straw tote. Add sunglasses and you're ready for farmers' markets, brunches, and lazy afternoons.

Evening Elegance: A slip dress in a jewel tone layered with a fine-gauge cashmere cardigan for early evening, then worn alone later. Add statement earrings and strappy heels. Effortless transition from dinner to dancing.

Wedding Guest: A midi occasion dress in a beautiful print or subtle metallic. Pair with a clutch bag and elegant block heels (for dancing comfort). Add a silk wrap for the ceremony if needed.

Transitional Layers: A fine-knit dress layered over a white t-shirt with ankle boots. Add a trench coat for early autumn days. This is layering at its most stylish.

THE FIT GUIDE: FINDING YOUR PERFECT DRESS

A-Line Dresses: Fitted at the shoulders and flares out towards the hem. Universally flattering, especially for pear shapes and those wanting to balance broader shoulders.

Wrap Dresses: Adjustable fit that cinches at the waist. Ideal for hourglass figures and those wanting to define their waist. The V-neck flatters most bust sizes.

Shift Dresses: Straight cut that skims the body without clinging. Perfect for rectangle shapes and those who prefer a relaxed silhouette. Great for layering.

Fit and Flare: Fitted bodice that flares from the waist. Flatters most body types, particularly those wanting to emphasise a small waist.

Bodycon: Close-fitting that follows the body's curves. Best for hourglass and athletic figures. Look for styles with stretch for comfort and ease of movement.

Shirt Dresses: Structured silhouette with a button front and usually a belt. Flatters most shapes – cinch the belt at your natural waist for definition.

THE FABRIC GUIDE: CHOOSING THE RIGHT DRESS FOR YOU

Silk: Luxurious, breathable, and temperature-regulating. Perfect for special occasions and workwear. Requires gentle care but drapes beautifully.

Linen: Breathable, lightweight, and perfect for warm weather. Linen softens with wear and washing. Embrace the natural texture – it's part of its charm.

Cotton: Versatile, breathable, and easy-care. Our cotton dresses range from crisp poplin shirt dresses to soft jersey everyday styles.

Viscose/Crepe: Fluid drape with a beautiful handle. Often used in occasion wear and work dresses for its elegant movement and crease-resistant properties.

Jersey: Soft, stretchy, and incredibly comfortable. Ideal for travel and everyday wear – it won't crease and moves with you.

Knit (Wool/Cashmere): Warm, cosy, and perfect for winter. Fine-gauge knits can be surprisingly elegant; chunky knits are for casual comfort.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: WOMEN'S DRESSES

What length is a midaxi dress?

Midaxi length falls between midi and maxi – typically hitting anywhere from mid-calf to just above the ankle. It's a universally flattering length that offers coverage while remaining elegant and modern. Exact measurements are provided on each product page.

How do I find the right dress size?

We recommend checking the size guide on each product page, which includes bust, waist, and hip measurements. Our dresses are cut to fit UK sizes 6-18 consistently. When in doubt between two sizes, consider the fabric – stretchy jersey offers more give than structured cotton.

Are your silk dresses machine washable?

We recommend dry cleaning for our silk dresses to maintain their lustre and shape. Some styles may be hand washable – always check the individual care label inside the garment for specific instructions.

What dress is best for a wedding guest?

Our occasion dresses are perfect for weddings. Consider the dress code: for daytime, midaxi lengths in prints or soft colours; for evening, silk or crepe styles in jewel tones or metallics. Avoid white or cream unless specified. Our collection offers beautiful options for every type of wedding.

Do you offer petite sizes in dresses?

Currently, our dresses are designed in standard sizing. However, many of our styles feature adjustable elements (belts, wrap styles) that allow for a customised fit. Check individual product measurements for exact garment dimensions, particularly length.

What dresses are suitable for work?

Our work dresses feature tailored cuts, modest necklines, and practical fabrics. Shirt dresses, sheath dresses, and A-line styles in solid colours or subtle prints are all office-appropriate. Look for styles with sleeves or those that layer well with blazers.

How do I care for my linen dress?

Linen is a natural fibre that softens with wear and washing. Machine wash on a gentle cycle at 30 degrees. Remove promptly to minimise creasing. Iron while damp if a crisp finish is desired, or embrace the natural relaxed texture.

What is your returns policy on dresses?

We offer free UK returns within 28 days on all full-price dresses. Dresses must be unworn with original tags attached. Given the importance of fit, we encourage you to try on dresses at home – we want you to love your purchase.

Can I wear a slip dress for daytime?

Absolutely! Layer a slip dress over a white t-shirt or fine-knit top, or under a cardigan or denim jacket. Add trainers or flat sandals for an effortlessly chic daytime look. Our slip dresses are designed for versatile styling.

What dresses are best for travel?

Jersey dresses and knit dresses are ideal for travel – they won't crease, pack small, and move with you. Shirt dresses in crepe fabrics are also excellent choices. Look for styles in dark colours or prints that hide travel marks.

DRESS CARE GUIDE: KEEPING YOUR DRESSES BEAUTIFUL

Silk: Dry clean only. Store on padded hangers away from direct sunlight. Use a garment bag for long-term storage.

Linen: Machine wash gentle, 30°C. Hang to dry. Iron while damp for a crisp finish, or embrace the natural texture. Linen softens beautifully with each wash.

Cotton: Machine wash according to care label. Iron on reverse side if needed. Cotton may shrink slightly – we account for this in our sizing.

Viscose/Crepe: Gentle machine wash or dry clean depending on style. Hang to dry. These fabrics are naturally crease-resistant.

Jersey: Machine wash cold. Reshape while damp. Jersey is low-maintenance and travel-friendly.

Knit: Hand wash or dry clean. Lay flat to dry – never hang knit dresses as they can stretch. Store folded.
